Permian Basin Baseball Club Seeking New Complex 3/4/13

The Permian Basin Baseball Club held a town meeting inside the University of Texas' library Monday night to discuss plans of a new multi-dimensional complex for a wide variety of athletes to call home.
Gardner presented several topics during the meeting.
Current State of the Game- The Permian Basin region has over 5,000 baseball and softball players
- There are limited tournaments
- No select baseball league
- No Challenger Little League in Midland
- Inadequate Facilities, Leagues, Tournaments, and practice
- Families leave town and pay more for "ultimate" baseball/softball experience
The Vision- Extra Innings: 18 tunnels and offices
- Champions field
- All turf
- Stadium seasting
- Press Box/Suites
- Locker Rooms
- Centrally located concession/restroom
- Covered seating
- Playground
- Picnic area/Patio
- Storage
The complex will host events ranging from Little League games and tournaments to high school tournaments. Gardner said it's also a strong possibility that the complex would host NCAA/NJAA games.
The complex would also host:
- Select youth baseball
- Challenger Little League for kids with special needs
- Clinics, practices, events, special guests
- Strength and conditioning training camps
