CBS 7 News
March 3, 2013

Big Spring - The man responsible for calling in a hoax bomb threat to Big Spring High School plead guilty in a Lubbock court room Friday.

Jordan Weston Hamilton of Big Spring pleaded guilty to a federal charge of false information and hoaxes from the bomb threat he made back in December 2012.

Weston faces a maximum statutory penalty of five years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.

According to documents filed in the case, Hamilton called the Howard County 911 Emergency Call Center at approximately 10:05 a.m. Dec. 17.

He later admitted he intentionally conveyed false and misleading information to the emergency call center by stating there was a bomb in the big spring high school science room.

However no bomb or device was found.

Big Spring Police say the call was made using a dead cell phone.
