ECTOR COUNTY-The Odessa Police Department says it has begun to look for people with outstanding warrants as part of The Great Texas Warrant Roundup.

The Odessa Municipal Court was giving people until yesterday to take care of their outstanding warrants.

The warrants in question are for everything from parking tickets to code enforcement violations.

"They'll be out making contact with people who have outstanding warrants today," said Lieutenant Eddie Reed of Odessa Police Department.

Reed says you do still have time to take care of your warrant.

"They need to come to municipal court to take care of their warrant," Reed said. "If they do not do that, they will be placed in jail."

Defendants can appear in person at Odessa Municipal Court, 201 North Grant, between 8 am and 3 pm on Saturdays March 2 and 9.

Anyone unsure if they have a warrant is encouraged to log on to the City of Odessa’s website, odessa-tx.gov, for a complete list of individuals with warrants.
