Tx-Dot Shuts Down Interstates In North Texas Due To Blizzard 2/25/13

Panhandle Tx. - TxDot Spokesperson Gene Powell is asking all drivers to avoid driving in the Amarillo area.
Roads going into Amarillo from as far south as Lubbock are virtually impassable at this point, and Interstate 27 is closed its entire length.
Interstate 40 is closed from New Mexico to Oklahoma borders, and US 87/287 is closed from Amarillo northbound to Oklahoma line.
This is a dangerous situation and motorists are STRONGLY advised not to try to travel in the Panhandle.
