UPDATE: Driver's Name Released in Fatal Crash on Hwy 158 - Midland 2/23/13

Midland County DPS has released the name of the driver who passed away this morning in the fatal crash on Hwy 158.
54-year-old Midland truck driver Jerry Lee Rigdon was pronounced dead at Midland Memorial Hospital this morning following this morning's wreck.
Lee was traveling west on highway 158 in an 18-wheeler when a 2001 Chevrolet truck traveling east on the same highway tried to turn in front of him, hitting the Peterbuilt and causing it to roll over.
None of the two drivers were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. His family has been notified.
The 78-year-old driver of the pickup, Duane Leache, who survived the crash suffered "non-incapacitating" injuries.
No word on whether citations have been issued to the driver of the pickup.
UPDATE: 3:05 PM
We've received reports that the crash includes at least one fatality. DPS has not officially confirmed this, but we are expecting a news release at any time.

A semi-tractor trailer and a pickup crashed on Highway 158 and County Road 60--just west of Midland--earlier today.
The northbound land of 158 has been closed.
DPS has not released any further information at this time, but we will continue to investigate as the story develops.
