Max Shatto Update: Both Shatto Adoptions Are Finalized Says CPS 2/22/13

GARDENDALE-As Russian media outlets report on the Shatto's biological mother speaking out, we're learning more about the status of the children's adoptions.

Patrick Crimmins of Texas Child Protective Services says both Max Shatto and his 2-year-old brother have adoptions which have been "consummated" or completed.

Crimmins says it means that even if CPS were to remove Shatto's surviving brother, it would be to relatives here or to Foster Care, not to their home country.

Crimmins says when adoptions through private agencies are consummated, the private adoption agency no longer has any legal right to the children.

CPS currently has no plans to remove Max's brother from the Shatto home in Gardendale.
