A West Texas city manager says he is part of a political game.
The City of Alpine's mayor says Tuesday’s meeting was quickly adjourned after they found out the "preliminary audit report,” the document the council was going to meet about, did not exist.
Alpine council members and citizens say that report may expose certain city employees of the misuse of funds.
City manager, Chuy Garcia, says people are over reacting.
He says there's a credit card that the employees have not turned in receipts for.
Garcia says he is in the hot seat because of political reasons.
He calls it a "witch hunt."
