TxDOT to Hold Public Meetings This Week to Discuss Highly Trafficked Roads 6/16/13
Red Flag Warning in Effect 2/21/13
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning effective until 6pm CST this evening for gusty winds, low humidity and high fire danger for most of the Permian Basin and upper Trans-Pecos. Humidity will be 15 percent or lower and winds will be sustained 20-35 mph with gusts into the 40's.
Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. Avoid the use of open flames or any activities that may generate sparks. Accidental ignitions will have the potential to grow quickly into dangerous wind-driven wildfires.
