A leading oil field wastewater treatment provider has announced it has received a contract to build two water treatment units in the Permian Basin.
Fountain Quail, which is owned by Aqua-Pure Ventures Inc., expects to begin processing water in April.
The company's equipment uses evaporation to treat water polluted by oilfield contaminants and returns to distilled water to be reused at the site.
Up to 10,000 barrels a day can be processed.
According to the company, the contract term is one year with an option to extend the arrangement for two years.
Fountain Quail estimates its initial annual revenue in excess of $5.0 million.
