Very Windy Today 2/21/13
Thursday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Very windy conditions are expected to continue into the afternoon hours. Wind speeds of 25-35mph with gusts to around 45mph are likely through 4pm. Highs will top out in the lower to mid 60’s for all but the mountains today. Blowing dust will reduce visibility and send allergies into overdrive!
A weak front will drop into the region tonight. This will bring a northeast wind to the region. However, the wind speeds will be much less overnight. Look for a 5-10mph wind to start your day on Friday. Highs will top out around 60 on Friday afternoon.
A much warmer day is in store for the region on Saturday. Highs will top out in the 70’s. Winds will be elevated but not near as strong as today. A cold front will move into the region on Sunday. This will bring a shot of breezy winds and cooler temperatures late in the weekend into early next week.
