Odessa – U.T. Permian Basin officials say they are training the next generation of energy professionals with its College of Business and Engineering. Jack Ladd, the Dean of the department, says U.T. Regents recently approved changing the departments name from the School of Business to the College of Business and Engineering. Ladd told CBS 7 Closer Look that it reflects the current curriculum of business, economics, engineering and information technology. The Dean says, “forty percent of our enrollment is I-tech and Engineering.” The Permian Basin job market also will benefit according to Ladd. He says the University also offers low tuition and fees for those students who qualify. The program has a Gold Standard Accreditation. Ladd says only 30 percent of business schools have that accreditation. Courses are being offered online.
