Midland/Odessa Have Their Day in Austin

Austin Ė Leaders from Midland/Odessa were in Austin today lobbying legislators. Mayor Wes Perry spoke before the Natural Resources Committee.
The Mayor told CBS 7 Closer Look that itís going to take billions of dollars to solve the stateís water woes.
Perry pointed out that other West Texas cities such as Abilene are also descending on Austin asking for a water plan. The Mayor says he is optimistic about the future following todayís meeting with the Governorís office. Representatives from Odessa/Midland also met with former Speaker of the House Tom Craddick, Representative Tryon Lewis and State Senator Kel Seliger.
