Thunderstorms Possible 2/19/13

A large upper level storm system is setting up to our west, in the Great Basin. This system is pulling our winds out of the southeast, making for a gusty afternoon. We are also seeing moisture pumping into the area today, with some virga (rain that evaporates before hitting the ground) falling over the southwest Basin. Tonight, particularly form 6pm to midnight, conditions will be favorable for rain and even the occasional thunderstorm. Windy conditions will continue into Thursday and Friday.
