MIDLAND-It was a night at the opera for a few hundred Midlanders.
Midland Opera Theater hosted its annual "Opera Downtown" fundraiser to promote the arts.
Performances included both professionals and local high school and college students.
One performer said it's a great opportunity to get West Texans talking about opera.
“I'm hoping by bringing it to people who have never heard of it, maybe never been exposed to it,” said Gabrielle Enriquez. “I’m hoping that we can get more people excited about this beautiful art form and enjoy it on a more regular basis.”
