Ex-Air Force Instructor Sentenced to Prison 2/15/13

SAN ANTONIO - A military judge has sentenced a former Air Force
instructor at a San Antonio base to 2½ years in prison for sexual misconduct.

Staff Sgt. Craig LeBlanc pleaded guilty to having sex with a basic training
recruit and having an affair with another woman who was in technical school.

The judge, Col. Donald R. Eller Jr., also busted LeBlanc on Thursday to
airman basic and ordered him to be dishonorably discharged.

LeBlanc could have gotten get more than 15 years in prison after he was
found guilty of 11 counts during his court-martial at Lackland Air Force Base.
He was acquitted of aggravated sexual assault.

LeBlanc's sentencing marks the end of the eighth court-martial arising from
a scandal surrounding sexual misconduct with female trainees at Lackland.
