ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu (HEE'-doh TURK'-uh-loo) has been suspended 20 games by the NBA after testing positive for an anabolic steroid.
Turkoglu is taking full responsibility for the positive test. He's apologized to the Magic organization, his fans and fellow teammates. The 33-year-old veteran from Turkey says he took medication from a trainer in his home country this past summer to help him recover from a shoulder injury and mistakenly neglected to check it against the NBA's banned list.
