Foodie Train Expected to Help Bring Tourists to West Texas 2/12/13

Alpine - West Texas is expected to get a big boost in tourism in a unique way.

As part of the Branch Foodie Train, a train will head from Houston to Alpine featuring Monica Pope who is a James Beard nominated chef and singer/songwriter Bonnie Bishop.

From April 3rd to April 6th, the train will leave Houston and will head to the Viva Big Bend Food Festival.

According to a press release, a portion of the event tickets will benefit the Food Bank of West Texas.

The Foodie Train is produced by Abbey Branch, BRANCH PR, a native of Alpine, Texas who’s mission of bringing Houston to West Texas to help support the region along with providing a local’s perspective and guide for sight seeing and most importantly where and what to eat is her first and foremost intention.

There were only 70 VIP seats for the Foodie Train and it sold out in less than a week.
