According to authorities, the lockdown was put into place after a report of a suspicious person. The person was found and the situation was resolved. As school officials released earlier, the lockdown was a precautionary measure.

The lockdown at the Fort Stockton Middle School has been lifted, according to school officials. CBS7 is told the school was put on lockdown as a precaution.

According to the secretary at the middle school, the lockdown is being lifted. No further information is available at this time.
