Midland Animal Services checked in on the illegal pit bull shelter at a home in Midland today.
Paul O’neill of Midland Animal services says property owner Greg Clark and Bully Beds, Inc. continue to be cooperative, but the number of dogs remains at 35 to 40.
“The owners did adopt at least one or two dogs over this past weekend,” O’neill said.
The property’s owners are working on cleaning and have moved dogs that were in crates from the home’s garage.
Animal Services says it will check in with the shelter again at the end of the week.
You’ll remember that the shelter is in violation of city code, which O’neill says only allows for up to 12 pets.
If you are interested in adopting one of the animals, O'neill says you can contact his office at (432) 685-7420 to get in touch with Bully Beds, Inc.
