Odessa – Pregnant women may want to think about getting a whooping cough booster shot in their second half of their pregnancy.
The Centers for Disease Control and the American Academy of Pediatrics is recommending the booster to pregnant women to protect the unvaccinated newborn from the growing problem.
They say a pertussis booster is encouraged for anyone who comes into contact with a newborn.
