Big Spring Man Sentenced to 7 Years in Jail for Hiding $78,000 in Closet 2/8/13

Big Spring – A Big Spring man who hid more than $78,000 in his closet was sentenced to seven years in prison by a federal judge in Lubbock yesterday.
Thirty-five-year-old Gabriel Aguilar pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
In December 2011, Big Spring Police searched Aguilar’s home and found nearly 2 and a half pounds of cocaine and the cash, according to the Associated Press. AP also reports that investigators say a pistol, plastic scales and other drug-related items were also recovered.
