CBS 7 Investigation on Truck Drivers Catches Lawmaker's Attention 2/7/13

In a CBS 7 investigation, we brought to attention the number of drivers in the Permian Basin who were caught driving commercial trucks without the required license.
The findings caught the attention of lawmakers such as State Representative Tryon Lewis.
Lewis says he is meeting with The State Transportation and the Homeland Security Committee next week to discuss his concerns of the weak penalties given to drivers caught operating their commercial trucks without a CDL.
Four months ago our investigation found that in less than a year in the Permian Basin alone, over 350 wrecks involved a commercial truck driver without a CDL, of those crashes 14 west Texans were killed.
