Ector County District Attorney, Bobby Bland, issues the following statement:
The Grand Jury today found no wrong doing on the part of the Ector County Sheriff Deputy, Johnny Valdarez, involved in the shooting of Marvin Donald Wilkerson on October 31, 2012. The Grand Jury no billed the Deputy following a Texas Ranger investigation which showed that the shooting was justified.
