Navy Seal With West Texas Ties Shot and Killed in Erath County 2/2/13

ERATH COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – Erath County Police responded to a shooting on Saturday Evening on the Erath/Sommerville County Line.
According to the Erath County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting took place at a gun range on the grounds of Rough Creek Lodge.
One of the victims is a former Navy Seal Sniper Christopher Kyle, of Midlothian.
The suspect has been identified as Eddie Ray Routh, and has been taken into custody by the Lancaster Police Department after he fled the scene in one of the victims’ cars.
Routh was arrested by Alvarado Police for DWI in January of 2012.
