Small School District Fights To Keep CSCOPE 6/18/13

WEST ODESSA — TxDOT workers will be working today doing a fog sealing project on FM 1936 from West University Boulevard (FM 2020) to Interstate 20 in West Odessa.
Only one of the four lanes will be closed at a time while the work is being done. If emergency situations arise elsewhere, it is possible that crews will be pulled off the project and the work could be delayed.
SANDERSON — TxDOT workers are scheduled to begin work today (Thursday, Jan. 24) on a fog sealing project on Ranch to Market 2886 from mile marker 418 to mile marker 426 in Terrell County. The job should take about a week and be completed next week.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane while the work is being done.
Fog seals are designed to seal small cracks in the road surface. This prevents those cracks from getting larger and allowing moisture to seep into the base of the road. Keeping moisture away from the road base prolongs the life of the road. Fog seals also help prolong the life of the asphalt itself.
