A Little Cooler Today 1/21/13
Monday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan Ė Chief Meteorologist
A cold front has moved into the region this morning, bringing a round of north winds and cooler temperatures. Highs today will be a bit cooler than what we experienced over the weekend. Expect a high temperature in the lower to mid 50ís across the Permian Basin today (roughly 10 degrees cooler than yesterday). Winds will be out of the north at 5-15mph.
The cooler temperatures will only be for one day. Expect highs in the 60ís on Tuesday and the 70ís on Wednesday and Thursday. The heat we will experience the middle of the week will come with a price tag of 20-30 (mph winds).
A cold front will move into the region on Friday. This will bring a drop in temperatures again to our area.
Another large storm system looks to set up to our west early next week. While moisture return appears to be the primary concern revolving around rain chances, itís worth the watch.
