ODESSA - The Food 2 Kids program is expanding its services to the Tall City.
The Odessa-based program, which currently serves twelve ECISD elementary schools, has expanded its program to include three Midland Schools this year.
More than 2,200 at-risk elementary school children have received weekend meals from the organization’s backpack program. Each Friday during recess, teachers place brown paper sacks inside the backpacks of nearly 200 students to make sure they will have something to eat over the weekend.
