An 18 Wheeler Wreck Closes Faudree Rd. 1/20/13

East Odessa - Tarp covers one of the beams holding the bridge at the intersection of 191 & Faudree Rd. TxDOT covered it to prevent any debris from falling and allowing the morning traffic to continue to go thru the intersection.
Thankfully the driver was not injured in the wreck. According to Odessa Police and TxDOT crews, this wreck happened a little after 8 this Sunday morning involving an 18 wheeler.
TxDOT Public Information Officer assured us that they took all necessary precautions to prevent the bridge from coming down.
They also tell us that in wrecks like these, the company who owns the truck is responsible for paying for the damages.
This makes it the third wreck involving a truck and a bridge in West Texas definitely raising some safety concerns. The intersection has been re-opened and its ready for the Monday morning commute.
