January 16, 2013 – Eighth Street between County Road West and Grant Avenue is being reduced to two lanes for reconstruction of the roadway.
Construction is expected to take place for the next two to three month and motorists are encouraged to avoid Eighth Street between County Road West and Grant during construction.
The pavement of Eighth Street is more than 25 years old and has reached its intended design life and in need of new pavement structure. Work will also include the addition of sidewalks and accessible ramps where needed.
This construction is part of the City’s Capital Improvement Program and will be performed by Jones Brothers Dirt and Paving.
