Terrell County - A Terrell County man has been charged following a standoff in Sanderson.
Authorities say Richard Darwin Powell is charged with Terroristic Threat Against a Public Servant and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
He's being held on a combined bond of $300,000.
This comes after deputies were called out to a family disturbance on the 100 block of Wilson Street around 8:00 Monday night.
That's when Powell is said to have threatened the life of a deputy and barricaded himself in his home.
An elderly couple was able to leave the home during the altercation.
After three hours, he surrendered and no one was hurt.
Sheriff Clint McDonald tells CBS7 that this is not their first run-in with Powell who suffers from psychological issues and was not on his medication.
