The City of Midland has collected this month's revenue from the State Comptroller's Office. The total amount of revenue received was $2,957,680.
This month's figure reflects a 13.84 percent increase or a $359,561 increase from January 2012.
The year-to-date total sales tax revenue for fiscal year 2012-2013 is up 14.87% or a $1,574,168 increase from last year's totals at this time. Fiscal year-to-date actual sales tax revenue is $12,162,546.
Sales tax revenue is generated by sales tax income from two months prior to collection; January collection is based on November sales.
