Big Spring - Small business is king in downtown Big Spring.
"You can come get a little bit of everything," Jonna Morgan, owner of Jake Witzel said.
Morgan is a new business owner in town.
"I came to Big Spring and my husband was starting a company. After driving around and looking at everything, we noticed there wasn't a lot of little shops," she said.
Since Morgan opened her doors in downtown Big Spring, more businesses, like the Hotel Settles along with other stores have opened, breathing new life into downtown Big Spring.
"It's been a lot busier," she said. "The foot traffic has increased, so that's nice. There has been more people downtown walking and looking around at the shops."
She says that although Big Spring may not have all the big store names, they have something other than a good economy that sets them apart, customer service.
"Being in Big Spring you have to have the next step up," Morgan said. "Yes you can run over to Target or big box store, but you aren't going to get the same level of customer service."
With a new hotel and more businesses coming to town, Morgan says it's a sign of good things to come for her community.
