Rain Chances Increase After Today 1/7/13
Monday Morning Weather Update
Greg Morgan – Chief Meteorologist
Look for partly to mostly cloudy skies across West Texas today. Highs will top out in the lower to mid 50’s for most. A few locations in the mountains will only see the 40’s and a few locations along the Rio Grande will top out closer to 60. Southeast winds will increase today 10-20mph.
An upper level storm, currently located over northern Mexico, will track toward West Texas tonight and tomorrow. This will bring an increase in clouds and rain chances on Tuesday and Wednesday. Expect highs in the 40’s on Tuesday and Wednesday. The chance of rain will be best on Tuesday night and through the day on Wednesday. Some heavy rain will be possible.
Dry and warmer conditions will return late Thursday and Friday. A cold front will move into the region on Saturday. This will bring cooler air and breezy winds back to the region this weekend.
