ODESSA – Let’s not leave the little cowboys and cowgirls out of the mix, they have rodeo fever too.
Today children ages 4-10 gathered at the Music City Mall and showed the crowd their rodeo skills. Event organizers say about 40 kids showed their best in the competition, which included a wide variety of fun and activities.
"We had the kids rodeo and what they are going to do is participate in the barrel bull riding, clown contest, cow milking and ribbon pull. It's kind of their little rodeo for the Sandhills Rodeo," said Megan Kenney, President of Kids Sandhills Rodeo.
As you can see the animals in this rodeo were made out of wood and cloth material. Donations collected at the event will go to funding next year’s event. To register for next years Kids Rodeo call 432-366-3951.
