County attorney Scott Layh says he's not going to waste any time pursuing law breakers. Layh, who took office January first, says his office will get tough on those who write hot checks, spousal abuse and DWI'S. The new county attorney made his reputation prosecuting child abuse cases in the District Attorney's office before his election as County Attorney. Layh hopes to beef up his team to cope with the added cases that a growing population brings to Odessa. Layh replaces Cindy Weir-Nutter who served for the last four years. Layh defeated her by a large majority in the November elections.
