Our CBS 7 crews tell us that some roads in town Fort Stockton are completely covered in snow.
They say the road conditions are very poor right now.
Please stay inside if at all possible.
UPDATE 3:45 PM
Our CBS 7 crews tell us that the snow has stopped for now in Ft. Stockton.
They say the wind has started to pick up as the next wave of snow is headed their way.
The roads are still clear at this time.
UPDATE 12:10 PM
Our CBS 7 crew is reporting snow fall in Ft. Stockton. It began to snow just after noon.
They say the snow is starting to stick to the ground.
Road conditions in the area are still good at this time. However, if you are driving in this area be careful.
UPDATE 10:50 AM
Our CBS 7 crew has made it to Ft. Stockton. They say it's not snowing at this time, but there is snow on the ground.
Roads in town aren't slick at this time.
UPDATE: 10:43 AM
Our CBS 7 crew reports snow falling, and sticking to the roadway, on Highway 18, about 15 miles west of Fort Stockton. The road is becoming very slick.
UPDATE 9:55 AM
Our CBS 7 crew is reporting snow flurries in Monahans. Nothing is sticking to the ground at this time.
Our crew says the roads are still dry at this time.
A winter storm is making its way into the Permian Basin.
Right now the storm is passing through the Ft. Stockton area headed east.
There is snowfall in Ft. Stockton. It's beginning to sleet in west Odessa off of Interstate 20.
CBS 7 has a crew tracking the storm to bring you the very latest on the winter storm.
