Boquillas Crossing Set to Open in New Year 12/30/12

Big Bend National Park - The Boquillas Port of Entry in the Big Bend National Park will soon be open according to the National Park Service.
The port of entry will open beginning 30 days after publication of a final ruling by the Department of Homeland Security.
That final ruling has been submitted to the government printing office for publication.
The crossing will provide access to Boquillas, Coahuila, as well as the protected areas in Mexico
Once open, people will be able to access the port between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
No vehicles will be allowed to cross.
