HOUSTON (AP) - Two Houston teenagers have been charged with capital murder for fatally shooting a man over his new Air Jordan sneakers.

The Houston Chronicle reports that 18-year-old Neal Bland and 19-year-old Kegan Arrington are charged in the December 21st shooting of Joshua Wood.

According to law enforcement records, Bland was arrested Friday, and Arrington was already in custody on an unrelated charge.

Wood was shot while in a car when approached by armed robbers who wanted the newly released Air Jordan Six "Bred" sneakers he had purchased. The shoes retail for $185.

The car's driver ran and was uninjured. Wood later drove off after he was shot and crashed between two houses. He died at a hospital.

It was not immediately known whether Bland or Arrington had lawyers.
