Odessa authorities have confirmed that the man involved in this morning's chase is the suspect in the death of Venesta Davis and shooting of Andrew Darius Junior on Christmas Eve.
55-year-old L.C. Davis Jr. is in OPD custody.
Despite the gunfire during this dangerous chase, no one was injured.
CBS7 has also learned that the front tires in the silver Impala were flattened after authorities deployed spike strips.

A high speed chase that ran from Midland to Odessa has been brought to an end at 4th and Adams in downtown Odessa.
Our crew on the scene says the front wheels of the silver Chevy Impala the suspect was driving are flat.
He was taken into custody and is being held in a DPS patrol car. No word yet on whether he was injured during the chase.

There are unconfirmed reports that Odessa Police have a suspect in custody in the area of 4th Street.

Midland County - The Midland County Sheriff's Office is believed to be in pursuit of the suspect in a fatal shooting of a 50-year-old woman and wounding a 20-year-old man.
According to scanner traffic, the pursuit went down Lamesa Road in Midland at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour before getting on Interstate 20.
Police have been looking for 55-year-old L.C. Davis Jr. and DPS is now in lead of the pursuit.
