Autistic Man Skates Across Country, Raising Autism Awareness 12/20/12

Brian Patrick rolled into the Permian Basin on in-line skates yesterday.
He’s skating across the country to raise awareness for autism. He said it may seem crazy, and yes, he does agree, but it creates an opportunity for people to ask “why”.
He’s skating from New York to California because he and some of his family members have autism.
Patrick has a mild form of aspergers, and he is traveling the country sharing his story and experience about the disability.
It has been a challenge dodging cars and finding food and board.
And if asked if it’s a journey, he said calling his mission a “journey” is an understatement.
