Midland, TX - Today Midland Memorial Hospital is opening the doors to their new facility.
It has been 6 years of planning and construction and the hospital is now open. This morning the hospital moved 190 patients from the former building.
CEO Russell Meyers says the new hospital brings them up to all fire and safety codes. He also hopes it will bring doctors and specialists from other areas to West Texas.
The former building, including the West Campus, will no longer be used for patient services.
