ODESSA, TX – Navy Sailor Bart Long made it his mission to be home, early this holiday season and today he became his daughters' very own secret Santa.
Christmas season just wouldn't be the same without a special visit from Mr. Claus.
Long lines fill the MCM mall in Odessa, just to get a candid moment with Santa.
But for one west Texas family, this visit is extra special…when their military man of the house swaps suits with the big man himself.
"They don't get to see him very often and when they do it's like a week here, two weeks," said Karrisha Long, wife of Navy specialist.
Navy Specialist Bart Long came home early for Christmas and decided to give his kids a secret Santa surprise.
The girls only see their father a few times a year. After 7 months being over seas, this is the first time they're seeing their dad face to face.
"It's good because I get to hold my girls and talk to them," said Navy Specialist Bart Long.
It’s a heart-felt moment, bringing their family a little closer this holiday season.
