Midland, TX - Targa Resources is looking to build in West Texas. Today the company gave a presentation to the Midland County Commissioners. Commissioners say the company may be seeking a tax abatement in Midland County or possibly Glasscock County.
Some Midland residents spoke out against the possibility. Claiming that it's an added burden to tax payers during a time when there are already plenty of job openings and a lack of housing in the area.
Commissioner Luis Sanchez also says he's not convinced. He says the company would bring less than 20 permanent jobs to the area. He is also concerned about housing for the 200 construction workers that would be needed during construction.
