Reports Have Midland/Odessa Topping the List for Best Paid Managing Jobs in Texas 12/10/12

Oil is still the bread and butter of West Texas, but it's not just those working in the oilfields that are doing well in the Permian Basin.
According to Business Journals on Numbers, Odessa has the highest paid general managers in the state.
They make an average of $59.47 per hour or around $123,700 each year.
Midland came in second with an average hourly pay of $52.59 and around $109,390 per year.
The highest paid general managers in the country are in Trenton, New Jersey with an average of $169,300 per year.
The lowest paid are in Danville, Illinois where they typical general manager is paid $67,870.
Another report by Business Journals on Numbers focused on Sales Managers across the country.
To make the most money in the country, go to New York City where sales managers make an average of $165,000 each year.
Here in Texas, Midland tops the list with an average pay of $60.53 per hour or around $125,900 each year.
Odessa came in at a close second with $57.16 per hour or around $118,900 per year.
The lowest paid sales managers are in Lawton, Oklahoma where the typical sales manager earns around $62,830.
