AMARILLO - Leaders of a Texas Panhandle county have gone to
court trying to keep about $9,000 and more than 120 casino-style gaming devices known as eight-liner machines.
The Amarillo Globe-News reported Monday that Potter County authorities allege the confiscated items were used for illegal gambling.
Records show deputies on Oct. 4 raided an Amarillo location and seized 65 gaming machines, cash, guns, knives and a small bag of methamphetamine. Deputies on Oct. 10 seized 63 machines from another location, plus more than $3,000 and some gift cards.
The court motions do not mention any criminal charges or arrests.
