Record Heat Possible Today 12/6/12

Expect a mostly sunny day across West Texas. The record high temperature for today is 78 and that is exactly what is forecast for this afternoon. Winds will be out of the south-southwest at 10-20mph.
A weak cold front will move into the area tonight but will do little to cool the temperatures down. Highs will still be in the 70’s on Friday and again on Saturday.
A much stronger cold front will move into the region on Sunday. This will knock highs down into the 40’s and 50’s and bring overnight lows down into the 20’s late in the weekend into early next week.
