FORT WORTH - An officer who was chief of staff to Fort Worth
Police Chief Jeff Halstead has been demoted following his arrest on a driving
while intoxicated charge.
Halstead says Maj. Paul Henderson has been demoted to captain and will
return to work Saturday but with the community programs division. The police
chief says Henderson will have administrative duties until the internal
investigation is completed.
Henderson was off-duty when he was arrested last weekend in Parker County by
a Texas trooper.
Henderson was placed on detached duty status following his arrest. He also
faces a pay cut with the demotion announced Tuesday.
