(Big Spring)- A Big Spring man has been charged with evading arrest with a vehicle and endangering a child following a brief car chase.
Howard County Sheriff's Office says 38-year-old Michael Shay Vanderbilt was arrested Wednesday after a domestic dispute turned into a short vehicle pursuit that endangered three children.
Law Enforcement officials say Vanderbilt was physically assaulting a woman in the parking lot of a convenience store, when Deputy's tried to break the fight up.
Lawmen say Vanderbilt fled the scene with three children in the car.
Vanderbilt pulled over and was arrested.
No injuries were reported.
His bond was set at $32,500 dollars.
He has since bailed out of jail.
