Expect big changes through the day! A cold front will surge southward into West Texas through the afternoon hours. Highs today will top out around 70. However, this will occur in the early part of the afternoon. Behind the front, temperatures will drop sharply through the overnight hours.
A slight chance of rain will be in the offing south of I-10 this afternoon, where low level moisture will be maximized and upper level support from a storm over northern Mexico will be in place. Winds will be out of the south through the early part of the day, then shift to the NE and increase behind the front.
Temperatures will drop quickly tonight! Overnight lows will fall into the 20’s for a large part of the region. Expect sunny skies on your Tuesday. Highs will rebound into the 50’s.
Temperatures will climb into the 60’s on Wednesday and 70’s Thursday through the weekend.
