West Texans Celebrate Community Leader's 100th Birthday 11/24/12

MONAHANS – A West Texas community is coming together to celebrate the 100th birthday of a longtime leader.
Georgie O’Brien Clements, the founder of Clements Pope Elementary School, gathered today in celebration of her 100th birthday.
There she met with students, family, pioneers and shared memories with each other.
Birthday gifts, cards filled the table. She even had letters by former president George W. Bush on display. During the birthday, the president of the general of woman’s club awarded her for serving for more than 70 years in the community.
The family say that seeing such community support shown how much their matriarch has touched the lives of others.
